How to Use mybadge: Step-by-Step Setup Guide
mybadge gives card vendors one link that holds everything buyers need: your shops, payment methods, verified reviews, and show schedule. Here's exactly how to set yours up.
Step 1: Create Your Account
Head to mybadge.gg/signup and create your free account with an email and password. During signup, you'll pick your slug — that's the URL for your badge. If your vendor name is "Jake Cards," your badge will live at mybadge.gg/jakecards. Pick something short, memorable, and consistent with your Instagram handle if possible. You can change it later from the dashboard.
Step 2: Set Up Your Profile
Once you're in the dashboard, start with the basics. Add your display name — this is what visitors see at the top of your badge. Write a short bio (150 characters max) that tells people what you sell. Something like "Pokémon & vintage sports cards | Ships same day | 📍 SoCal shows" works perfectly. Upload an avatar — your logo, a photo of you at your table, or a clean photo of your best card. This is your first impression, so make it count.
Step 3: Add Your Shop Links
This is where you link every place you sell cards. mybadge supports the major platforms out of the box: TCGPlayer, eBay, Whatnot, and Facebook Marketplace. Just select the platform and paste your store URL. Pro users can also add custom shop links — useful if you have your own website, a Mercari store, or any other platform not in the standard list. Each shop shows up on your badge with the platform icon and an external link so buyers can jump straight to your inventory.
Step 4: Add Your Social Links
Connect your social media profiles so visitors can follow you. mybadge supports Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X (Twitter), Facebook, Discord, and Twitch. For most platforms, just enter your handle and mybadge auto-generates the URL. For Discord, paste your full invite link. Your social icons show up in a clean row on your badge — buyers tap to follow.
Step 5: Set Up Payment Links
This is one of mybadge's most useful features. Add your Venmo, Cash App, PayPal, and Zelle handles. Each shows up as a "Pay →" button on your badge. When a buyer wants to pay you, they tap the button and go directly to your payment app. No more "What's your Venmo?" back and forth in DMs. For Venmo, Cash App, and PayPal, just enter your username and mybadge generates the payment link. For Zelle, enter your email or phone number.
Step 6: Add Your Show Schedule
If you sell at card shows, this section is essential. Add each show with the name, date, location, and optionally your table number. Your badge automatically splits shows into "Upcoming" and "Past," so visitors always see what's next. Free accounts can list up to 2 shows at a time. Pro accounts get unlimited shows — perfect if you're hitting the show circuit every weekend.
Step 7: Collect Reviews
Your badge has a built-in review system. Any visitor can leave a review by scoring you on three categories: Communication, Speed, and Accuracy on a 1–5 scale, with an optional comment. Reviews are tied to Instagram handles for authenticity. Your overall rating shows up as gold stars at the top of your badge. After every successful sale, send the buyer your badge link and ask them to leave a quick review. Free accounts can collect up to 10 reviews. Pro accounts get unlimited.
Step 8: Share Your Badge
Your badge is live at mybadge.gg/yourslug. Here's where to put it:
Instagram bio: Replace your Linktree or raw eBay link with your mybadge URL. It does everything those links do and more.
Card show table: Print a QR code that links to your badge and display it at your table. Buyers scan it to find your shops, pay you digitally, and leave reviews after the show.
Business cards: Add your mybadge URL or QR code to your business card. One link replaces the need to list every platform.
Other social media: Link your badge in your TikTok, YouTube, X, and Facebook bios. Every platform, one link.
Step 9: Upgrade to Pro (Optional)
The free tier covers the basics — 10 reviews, 2 shows, standard shop platforms, and a "powered by mybadge" footer. Pro ($9/month or $79/year) unlocks unlimited reviews, unlimited shows, custom shop links, and removes the mybadge branding. If you're serious about selling cards, Pro pays for itself with the first sale you close because a buyer trusted your 50-review profile.
You're Live
That's it. Your entire card-selling business — shops, payments, reviews, and shows — is now in one link. Every time you make a sale, collect a review. Every time you book a show, add it to your badge. Every time someone asks "where can I find you?" — send them your badge. It compounds over time, and the vendors who start building their badge today will have the strongest reputations tomorrow.
